Project Description

The literacy rate for Niger is 19% (27% for males and 11% for females), but this rate drops dramatically for unreached nomadic people groups. The Tuareg and Fulani are 85% of Niger’s population and they have a literacy rate of only 10–15%.

By supporting Brighter Future in Niger, you are providing better school opportunities, which provides increased possibilities for a better job. Your donation will go towards things like school fees, school supplies, and tutoring for students whose parents have not attended or finished school. You are also providing another option other than early marriage for girls before the ages of 16–18, increasing girls’ health by preventing teen pregnancies and increasing their knowledge through education.
