We long to see Canadian and Mexican young people learning to listen to God and, in his power, respond in faithful & courageous obedience, pursuing Kingdom-focused community, and embracing the role he has for them in his redemptive purposes for the entire world. We trust and expect that the natural outcome of this will be 10% pursuing full-time ministry at home and abroad and 100% participating wholeheartedly as citizens of the Kingdom of God.

We were born into Christian families who were highly involved in the life of their churches. We each accepted Christ and felt a call to ministry at a young age. Attending C&MA churches throughout high school gave us both many opportunities to grow into God’s calling. During high school and university, we each had multiple opportunities to be involved in short-term mission trips, which God used to stir a desire for international ministry. During our first years of marriage, we lived & served in a missional community/house church context in both Calgary & Halifax. We have come to highly value intentional community as part of how Triune God forms and transforms us. Since the beginning of our time in ministry, God has called us to create discipleship environments where we can model, teach, and provide opportunities for others to join us in taking steps of faith and growth. Developing and implementing an internship program here in Mexico City is a natural outflow of that calling.
