Current Priorities

In Brave Heart, we share Jesus through Saturdays in the park, homework help, a discipleship group and the business collective. At ALAS, we share life skills and Bible classes at a home for women with psychiatric issues. We seek to empower the local Mexican church in their outreach to the most marginalized in society and see discipleship through both classes and experiences.

*Brave Heart ministers to indigenous families through educational help, outreach in the park and the Brave Heart Collective which gives business help and training.

*ALAS is a ministry in the El Recobro shelter for women who have no family to assist them with their psychiatric needs. They provide life skill classes and a Bible class.

Least-Reached People Group

We work with a unique group of LRPG’s called the Otomi and Huichol.  You can learn more about the Otomi and Huichol by visiting our LRPG page.

Vision

We long to see many of the least-reached people groups in Mexico City and area have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ! Whether this be an indigenous village where it is prohibited to confess Jesus Christ or business men and women who rarely hear about him. It is exciting to see these people engage in serving the most-needing in society and encountering Jesus Christ. Consumed by the Great Commandment, Compelled by the Great Commission, Completing our Kingdom Calling. In every effort, discipling people to be a transforming presence among the least reached.

Bio

Heather grew up in rural Saskatchewan where her parents were pastoring. As a child, she loved hearing about different countries and experiences around the world. She responded to an altar call at one General Assembly and the rest was history. After a couple years of Bible College, she visited Mexico City for a year. It was there that God confirmed a call to love Him in a country other than her own. Heather has been involved in church planting for fifteen years and exclusively in compassion ministries the past fives years.

Andrés grew up in Costa Rica and studied computer sciences in the US. After returning with his degree, he developed software and served in several ministries through tech support. He has also enjoyed working with a Third Culture Kid youth group for the last couple decades. He moved to Mexico City when Heather and he got married.

Prayer Requests

Pray for continual open doors to villages, in which it is prohibited to be a Christian so that people would have a personal and communal encounter with Jesus Christ.

Pray for wisdom and increased prayer in our upcoming leaders in justice and compassion projects.
