Current Priorities

Tyler and Kathy have lots going on in their work and personal lives. There are multiple projects that they are working on alongside their team. These projects are growing which means they are able to provide more opportunities for those who have been exploited, as well as being available to those who are at risk of being exploited. Many of the areas that are included in these projects have been started from scratch, so Tyler, Kathy, and their team are trusting that God will continue to guide them through the building and expanding. Their work is not the only thing that has expanded though, last year, Tyler and Kathy adopted a baby girl named Layla. She is a strong little girl who has been through so much in her short life already. Tyler and Kathy are navigating raising their daughter while blending the many cultures and values that are now represented within their family.

Vision

Our Vision is to see the lives of the young people in our host country break the chains of bondage both spiritually and physically, though the safe work, safe homes and safe education we provide though the project.

Bio

Tyler and Kathy grew up very differently; Tyler in a rugged rural setting and Kathy in a modern up-to-date city. They met in a small town in Kathy’s early college days, in a story that can only be structured by God! As they began to explore what their future together may hold, it was then that God stepped into their lives and got a hold of them! Through an amazing series of faith steps, they accepted Christ into their lives, were married, baptized, and began serving wholeheartedly within the church. Tyler and Kathy truly love to serve and went on their first short-term mission trip in 2008. It was there God spoke to them directly and they knew serving long-term overseas was what He wanted. They began another journey of faith, which concluded with dreams, visions, and words from God confirming the location they have now been serving in since 2019.

Prayer Requests

Pray for the young women in our care, that they would feel the love of Jesus Christ though us and make a personal commitment to follow Him. Pray for the students who come to our vocational training centre, that the new skills they acquire will allow them to find safe work and escape the grips of poverty. Pray for the businesses we run, that they would be successful and provide safe steady work for the young people at risk that we employ.
