There are least-reached people groups living in various locations in the Sun Region. Latin American churches are reaching out to the LRPG’s in their midst. We are partnering with national churches who are training missions candidates to be sent to these same people groups around the world.

Current Priorities

Our priority is to come alongside national churches of Latin America in equipping their mission candidates. This involves exploring new models of engagement with them. We also provide care and counsel for Canadian international workers in the Caribbean Sun Region.

Vision

We long to see national churches in the Sun Region become a powerful sending force to places in the world where people have never heard the Gospel. Our dream is to help our Latino brothers and sisters rise up as fervent intercessors, sacrificial givers, and bold witnesses to reach those who have no access to Jesus.

Bio

Blake received Christ at the age of nine in Australia where his parents served as missionaries to the Aborigines. His childhood in Australia gave him a heart for missions. Kathy’s mom led her to the Lord at the age of six. She was impacted by the example of her uncle and aunt who served as missionaries in India. Through a missions conference at Moose Jaw Alliance, God led Blake and Kathy to leave their careers to serve as international workers. They have served in Mexico City in church planting (1997-1999) and later as team leaders (2016-2020). From 2001 to 2015, they served in Cuba, training and mentoring pastors of the C&MA house churches and facilitating a prayer network that united denominations. In July 2020, Blake and Kathy began serving as Team Developers for National Church Relations in the Sun Region.

Prayer Requests

Thank you for your prayers. In our years as international workers, we have realized over and over again the key role that our intercessors have had in our ministry. Pray for the effective mentoring and equipping of missions candidates at strategic training centers in the Sun Region. Pray for wisdom to discern open doors and to seize the best opportunities for new candidates. Pray for spiritual, emotional, mental and physical strength, and stamina to carry out our responsibilities.
