God has strategically placed Bear and Vanessa in Mexico City to journey with Mexicans in missions mobilization to send out Mexican workers and to walk with indigenous Otomi artisans in Business for Transformation to impact communities with the Kingdom. Mexico City also provides a central location to share the Gospel with potential immigrants from countries with little or no access to the Gospel.

Bear desires to mobilize Mexican believers and the Mexican Church to bring access to Jesus to those with little or no access to the Gospel in the world. Vanessa desires to partner with indigenous artisans in Business for Transformation that creates Kingdom impact in their communities and beyond.
Bear and Vanessa came to saving faith in Jesus Christ as children. Vanessa was exposed to missions in her local Alliance church that led to her calling to serve in missions. Bear was called to vocational ministry as a teenager. After graduating from university together in 2008, Vanessa served for 10 months with the Alliance in Mexico City and Bear started a Masters in Intercultural Studies (Missions). They were married in 2009 and served at Westgate Alliance Church (Saskatoon) as the pastor of student ministries and missions mobilization for 6 years before God released them to complete a two-and-a-half year apprenticeship with the Alliance in Mexico City. They were confirmed as IWs in June of 2018 where they have served in a church planting role. After a Home Assignment in 2022, Bear is excited to partner with the Mexican Alliance Church and others in missions mobilization so that Mexican workers will be sent to areas with little or no access to the Gospel. Vanessa is excited to continue to develop a business for transformation among the indigenous Otomi artisans of Mexico. They have three children: Belle, Merida, and Maximus.
Pray that God would raise up and send out Mexican workers to peoples with little or no access to the Gospel.
Pray that God would create sustainable futures for Otomi women and families as Vanessa walks alongside of them in business.
Pray that God would provide leaders for Bear and Vanessa to disciple that will be a part of multiplying disciples in indigenous communities and to the ends of the earth.
